Bali's standout performance right, a fast hollow wall over shallow volcanic rock with hittable sections and clean barrels, and a regular WSL contest venue facing the sunrise. It runs from shoulder high to double overhead and is for advanced surfers only. Prime in the wet season from November to March with the NW monsoon offshore. Tide is everything: mid to incoming is the window, low closes out and high kills the shape. Best at dawn before the sea breeze.
Heads up. Shallow sharp reef, closes out at low tide, strong currents, fast-moving tides, crowds.

AboutRight now the swell is too small and too disorganised to bother. You're looking at ankle-to-knee reformations over volcanic rock with 96 per cent wind chop masking what little period exists, and the tide is falling toward closure. The NNE wind at dawn offered offshore grooming, but at 2 kph there is almost no face to work with anyway. Water is warm at 27°C; the problem is there is nothing rideable here.
This afternoon the wind swings to the southeast and picks up to 11 kph, turning onshore and erasing any shape that might have built during the morning low. Today is done by mid-morning.
Tomorrow holds at ankle-to-knee with no standout window and the same reformations all day. The forecast is firm enough that there is no hidden dawn session waiting; Keramas will owe you a proper swell window soon, and this is not it.
