Long run of groyne-divided peaks in front of Caparica town, with CDS and Tarquinio the best-known banks held in place by underwater channels that keep them predictable. Reliable A-frames with better rights and plenty of surf schools, working all year and all tides. Mostly small-wave fun below head high, though it can run fast and hollow on a heavy winter NW swell.

Heads up. Groyne rocks, rips between the banks, summer crowds, school lineups.
