These breaks all read the same today, so the order above is not a ranking. They share one forecast source, and Foam does not yet hold the local numbers that separate them: how much each is sheltered, and which swell angles reach it. That is learned from people surfing them and logging what it was really like.

Reef

Best swell

SE to W

A reef peak just inside the Ahangama fishing poles, known locally as Sticks, with a fast left that pitches after the take-off and tapers as it runs into the channel, plus a right shoulder. One of the steeper waves in the area, suiting improving reef surfers stepping up. Holds to around 5ft and prefers mid tide on a north-east offshore. South-coast season, November to April.

Heads up. Shallow reef and coral at low tide, urchins, the stilt-fishing poles, crowds.
