Low / Mid / High
The outer peak of the Senggigi reef, the bigger and longer of the two. A reef wave that runs left through the dry season and switches to a right in the wet, racy and hollow over coral on the right swell. Best on a 5 to 6 foot south-west swell at low to mid tide from May to September, with a committed but rarely large crowd.
Heads up. Shallow sharp coral at low tide, rocks, current on bigger swells.

AboutWaist to chest, 95 per cent groundswell, and offshore wind from the SE that will groom the faces clean. The long 16-second period means the swell has travelled far and stacked energy into each set, and at Senggigi Outside that translates to shape and push all the way through the zone. Falling tide is working with you now; this is the best the day has to offer, and it suits intermediates and improvers who are comfortable on a reef in shoulder-high conditions.
The wind swings to cross-shore from the NNW around mid-afternoon and the swell edges up slightly to shoulder height, but the quality holds until around 8pm. After that the tide turns and the shape loses definition.
Tomorrow the peak comes in the morning and looks to match today's range, waist to chest. The headline already flags the call, but the longer read is that tomorrow may prove slightly firmer if the swell angle holds; a 16-second period often does live up to itself, even if the ocean always reserves the right to surprise a forecast.
