By mid-afternoon, expect the wind to swing to the south-east and turn cross-shore at around 19 kilometres per hour, which will scramble the faces and sap the shape. The swell probably stays in the overhead band but loses its edge.

Tomorrow peaks at the same five-star mark with roughly head to overhead waves, probably peaking at 4.6 metres, and holds best in the morning before wind or tide shift it again. At this size and period, you're reading forecast models, not experience, the ocean will decide whether it holds as cleanly as it looks on the charts, but if it does, tomorrow is worth the trip. The break will feel the power today and tomorrow demand: this is experienced surfer territory either way.
