A long-period south-west swell wrapped in clean by the offshore east-south-east wind has stacked overhead waves across Berawa this morning, probably running 3 to 5 metres with 17-second intervals that hold shape all the way to the beach. The groundswell is nearly pure, the wind is holding offshore, and the tide is barely moving through what looks like an optimal window, conditions like these do not last long on the Canggu lineup. This is experienced surfer territory today, not a step up from the usual improving-friendly character of the break.

By mid-afternoon the wind swings to the south-east and lifts to around 19 kilometres per hour, turning cross-shore and roughing up the faces, though the swell itself probably holds its size and period. The peak window closes around noon.

Tomorrow the swell looks to peak near today's levels, reaching overhead high with the same long intervals, and the morning should offer the cleanest conditions before afternoon wind returns. The forecast reads solid, though the sandbar shift that controls quality here means the actual shape can vary, worth checking before you commit, but the swell angle and size favour a very good dawn patrol.
