The swell is running at a solid 16-second period, which means long-interval groundswell holding shape and power all the way to the beach, and the angle is wrapping in from the right direction to fill this exposed sand bay properly. You're looking at overhead-high waves with light cross-shore wind from the south-east, so faces stay clean and defined; this is as good as it gets here, but the window runs until around 11am, so move.

By mid-afternoon the wind picks up to 20 kilometres per hour, still cross-shore but stronger, and the swell inches marginally taller without improving shape. The best of it will have passed.

Tomorrow peaks at the same rating with a similar head-to-overhead range, and the morning should hold the cleanest conditions before wind builds. Size alone means this is a wave for confident, experienced surfers only both days. The forecast is solid through the morning window, though as always the ocean may read softer or sharper than the model suggests once you're out there.
