Go now while the swell wraps in clean and the rising tide stacks the reef. The 16-second groundswell from the south-west keeps the faces steep and hollow, and this morning's light offshore wind from the east shaped them well. Cross-shore south-easterly will build through the session, but you have a solid window until around noon with overhead waves holding their form.

Wind swings further onshore and strengthens to 22 kilometres per hour by mid-afternoon, roughening the faces. The swell stays in the head-to-overhead range but the deteriorating shape means the best of it closes off before three o'clock.

Tomorrow morning looks excellent on the forecast, probably shoulder to overhead early and holding near head-high through the peak. Experienced surfers only, the size and power match today's demand, though lighter wind earlier in the day and a longer window give you more room to work. Forecasts shift, so treat the detail as guide rather than guarantee, but the setup reads solid.
