Lazy Right is fair right now and not the place to be. You're looking at overhead to head-high-plus surf that demands confident, experienced surfers, but the falling tide is starving the take-off and the westerly wind is working cross-shore, flattening the faces just when you need shape. The long-period groundswell (14 seconds) would normally be a gift here, wrapping in clean and organised, but today it is not enough to override the setup.

By mid-afternoon the conditions have not improved. The wind holds cross-shore and the tide barely moves, leaving little reason to expect a shift before the evening window arrives.

Tomorrow peaks at good and looks significantly more promising. Expect shoulder to overhead waves in the morning, with a smaller swell angle and lighter touch from the westerly wind, though the forecast margin for error widens as you move through the day and the wind freshens. This is still a wave for experienced surfers only, but the shape and timing will be cleaner than today offers.
