About this break

Type
Beach
A wide, sandy beach break offering soft lefts and rights, named for the crocodile shape of the northern headland. Consistent and gentle, the classic spot for surf schools and families and the easiest beach to reach from Tamraght, best around mid tide. Bigger swells give intermediates something to work with through the autumn to spring season.
Heads up. Crowded with surf schools, occasional rip.

Temp, sun and UV are reliable. Tide, wave height and wind direction are model estimates. Remember that.

AboutGo now. Crocro is firing at waist to chest with clean offshore wind from the southeast at dawn, which means the faces are holding shape and texture as the swell wraps in from the right angle. The groundswell is pure, no chop, and the rising tide is barely moving so you've got a stable platform underfoot, this is the friendliest condition the beach break will offer all day.
By mid-afternoon the wind swings onshore from the west-southwest and the waves ease back to thigh to stomach, so the quality window closes after mid-morning. The swell angle holds but the added wind chop will soften the peaks.
Tomorrow peaks at the same rating with thigh to stomach waves, best in the morning before any wind arrives. The forecast reads reliable enough for that window, though the size sits at the smaller end and the day will chase what the morning delivers rather than building into it.
