S to NNW
Northernmost stretch of the Caparica coast, ten minutes over the bridge from Lisbon, framed by long jetties at each end with fewer groynes than the town beaches so it holds a touch more size. When a W or NW swell angles in, the sandbars can peel like a point for long walling rides. The capital's everyday wave factory, best on an E to SE offshore wind across the tide.
Heads up. Rips by the jetties and groynes, shifting sandbars, crowds on good days.

Temp, sun and UV are reliable. Tide, wave height and wind direction are model estimates. Remember that.

AboutRight now the swell angle is right and the period is long enough to let the sandbars peel, but the size has collapsed to ankle to thigh at best, and the onshore wind is flattening what little face exists. Not worth the drive into the capital unless you're a local ten minutes over the bridge and happy to paddle out for practice waves; at least the 68 per cent groundswell keeps some shape underneath the chop.
Wind holds onshore and strengthens to 13kph by afternoon, which will roughen the faces further as the swell stays minimal. Today's window closes before lunch.
Tomorrow morning looks genuinely worth the trip, with waist-high waves on the cards and the swell period staying long enough to hold shape across those groyne-divided bars. The forecast confidence drops after mid-morning, so aim for first light if you can, though even then a swell model can shift by half a metre either way and often does.
